One centimetre purple nodules on the skin, sometimes associated with HIV infection.

Certain ethnic groups are predisposed to this blood vessel disease causing purplish nodules on the skin. The disease also is one of the skin manifestations of HIV disease. The typical manifestation is 0.5-1.0 centimetre purplish nodules affecting the skin. Diagnosis is made by removal and examination under the microscope.
