Bowens Disease

Usually seen on sunshine exposed areas of skin (backs of the hands, forearms, upper shoulders etc). Usually a slightly thickened red and scaly patch of skin which fails to repond to simple moisturisers.

Bowen's Disease is extremely responsive to cryotherapy and also to PhotoDynamic Therapy (PDT). Bowen's Disease can progress to more serious skin cancer if left untreated and should be identified and treated early.
